This is a superior replacement for factory underbody heat shields as there is no corrosion that will occur on these sheets. 

Have you ever removed heat shields and found that the material has corroded almost entirely where the fasteners sit? This is due to galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals, with 316 stainless steel the reaction is almost entirely eliminated on the shielding material.
